Revival Book Release Bash with Ellis Paul, Meg Hutchinson, Alastair Moock, and Jake Armerding
Five years in the making, my new folk music novel, Revival, is being officially launched at Club Passim Thursday, September 15, with a stellar lineup: Ellis Paul, Meg Hutchinson, Alastair Moock, and Jake Armerding. It'll be a real music party, swapping songs and offering excerpts from the novel. I'm so excited about the early response to Revival, with praise coming from Tom Paxton, John Gorka, Ellis Paul, Grammy-winner Alison Brown, and Catie Curtis, who said it had "characters so believable you want to go hear them in concert." Mary Gauthier called it "a totally beautiful and beautifully told love story," and Gordon Bok said it's "just about the warmest, most nourishing book I've read." "Music lifts us up," Si Kahn wrote. "So does Revival." These are all musicians I admire enormously, so I'm thrilled by the response.

Revival is a love story set in the Boston folk scene, so I couldn't hope for a better place to launch it than the venerable Club Passim. This will be be a once-in-a-lifetime night for me, so I really hope you can join us. Be sure to say hi if you do.
